CERFA e.V. is celebrating 10 years of vibrant community activities in Germany with a three-day symposium, taking place September 22nd to 24th in the Spanish Embassy in Berlin.

The symposium consists of three main events:

  • Friday, September 22nd
    Evening welcome-reception offered by the Spanish Ambassador, including talks by our long-time partners: Ramón Areces Foundation  (to be confirmed) and FECYT, The Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology. The evening’s main event will be conversation and Q&A -where you can participate- with Merck’s CEO, Belén Garijo, after which a drinks will be offered.
  • Saturday, September 23rd
    Full-day symposium, with talks, Q&As and poster presentations. The goal is to bring together the diverse community of Spanish professionals either carrying out, enabling, or managing research and research output in Germany. There will be a mixed scientific audience, and we aim for a collegial atmosphere, where not only scientific results are shared, but also the stories of the people behind them.   • Sunday, September 24rd
    Yearly CERFA assembly (members only), followed by a guided tour & talk at the Berliner Medizinhistorisches Museum der Charité, where the exhibitionThe brain in science and art, with of original drawings of Santiago Ramón y Cajal is taking place. The tour also includes a brief talk by a CERFA neuroscientist and expert in the matter.

Please note, due to the event taking place on embassy premises, access will be controlled via personal identification (e.g. Passport, National Identity Card) which you will be asked to provide upon registration at cerfa2023.eventbrite.com
